Members of the department (and hence of the Editorial and Advisory Boards) may not make unsolicited submissions to the journal. (This is both to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, and because the Editorial Board occasionally asks department members to aid in the desk review of submissions.)
The Editorial Board does not solicit article length submissions from department members. They may occasionally solicit discussion pieces from department members, in response to an article published in Res Philosophica that addresses their work.
For issues that are externally guest edited, department members are allowed to contribute if invited by the guest editor.
